I’ll never forget learning the poem “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost.
I was 11 years old and our principal taught us English that year. It is one of the only poems that I remember learning in school that has stayed with me, time and time again.
I’m not sure if it’s the impact of the poem, the impact my principal had on me, or a combination of the two. Regardless, it is even more profound in its meaning today than it was in that Grade 6 public school class in New Liskeard many years ago.
When I consider the words, they really speak to me. I am not a follower. I am one who likes to take the lead; blaze my own path.
I can remember times when I didn’t feel I had the courage to continue along my own course; that it might just be easier to be a follower for once. But then this poem would come to mind and I’d make a decision to muster all of the courage I could and follow my heart.
In more recent years, using The Decision Smith app has enabled me to garner that courage much more quickly and its level remains higher than ever. I am blessed with a wonderful life; a result of the many decisions I’ve made along the way, most times picking “the one less traveled by”.
You see, the impact of making strong decisions that are true to you, can only help your confidence and your passion for life in the long run.
Using The Decision Smith app validates your “gut” feel and your intuition, so it becomes stronger over time, the more and more you use it.
I can’t share with you enough the results of being a confident decision maker, but I can certainly show you how.
